“ Girls and boys stood together, standing, screaming, moaning, groaning, ripping at their hair, pushing, shoving, falling on the floor and crying, real tears streaming down hundreds and hundreds of faces, smearing their mascara and lipstick. For the first time, I started wondering whether these kids were in some state of trance. What was making them go? When Paul sang “I Saw Her Standing There” a girl would look at the stage and stare at Paul, her eyes fixed, no blinking in order to make it appear that he was singing to her. I saw YOU standing there. ”
